Segment 1 - Show Open 10/13/15

Show Open: Jennings makes an awkard compliment of Doug and almost gets suspended before the presentation even gets underway, Tim has a rogue shrub on his computer again, Fox 2 apparently released a Cardinals playoff song, Doug says we all expected the Cardinals to lost Game 3 with Arrieta on the mound but the game didn't unfold how anyone would've expected, the approach against the Cubs starter was executed magnificently but unfortunately Wacha just isn't in peak form right now, Tim questions the wisdom in sending Wacha back out for the 5th inning to face the top of the Cubs order, it was surprising to see the Cubs bullpen outduel the Cardinals' relievers, if they go on to lose this series though Tim will look back to Game 2 rather than Game 3 as the missed opportunity, Jennings is a Matheny fan but he also regrets not making a move to protect the lead and expected Wainwright to relieve Wacha, Tim quantifies this as another footnote in the book of Matheny postseason question marks, Jack calls in to compare Matheny's manuevring to La Russa and Tim gives him a quick hook, Fuelsie is up next to ask about the Game 4 pitching matchup, Tim reports that the Cardinals hit the hell out of Cubs starter Jason Hammel, Doug believes that a healthy Tony Cruz is actually better than a compromised Molina, if there's a Game 5 who in the world starts now that Lackey is on the bump this afternoon, Mark phones in to tell everyone to quite worrying about the Cardinals, John is up next with a theory on Molina's pitch selection for Wacha, another Mark chimes in to defend Matheny because the pitching staff is just what it is and he's managing the best he can, nationally people are rooting for the Cubs story and Tim compares it to rooting for a #12 seed in the NCAA Tournament, Steve is up next on The Appliance Discounters phone lines and says he wouldn't have minded seeing Lyons get a start in this series, Doug thinks Lyons might be the piggy back to Lackey this afternoon, Joe follows with a question about the Jaime situation and the roster construction, Storm calls in with a question for Doug, how much would tickets cost if the Cubs reached the World Series, Ivan checks in to respond to Big Al's call from yesterday.
