Kelly Chase talks Blues’ big win over Bruins, previews Capitals game

St. Louis Blues radio analyst Kelly Chase joined The Ryan Kelley Morning After on Wednesday to discuss the Blues’ 4-2 win over David Backes and the Boston Bruins and the impressive performance by goaltender Jake Allen. Listen to the interview here: On the Blues’ performance vs. the Bruins: “They came out the second period and it was really a dominating period. They still relied on (Jake Allen) a little too much. They’re getting contributions from everybody, which at the start of the year was a concern. Success is coming in numbers now.” How do the Blues match up with the Capitals? “You probably have one of the most skilled teams in the league tonight in Washington. They have so many dynamics that they bring at you. But you have to stick with your type of game. I would expect the Capitals to play…(at a fast pace). They get the puck and it immediately goes north. I think you’re going to have to make a conscious effort to play in their end of the ice with smart delays. (They do not want to get in a track meet with the Capitals).”
