Seg. 3: Chris Kerber

Chris Kerber, The Voice of the St. Louis Blues, joined The Press Box on Monday to give his thoughts on the early impact of new Blues head coach Mike Yeo. Read a couple excerpts and listen to the full interview below: What do you attribute to the Blues’ turnaround? “I think there’s several things. Jake Allen found his game…he’s been really good. And I think the first couple of practices (under Mike Yeo)…some of the drills have been different, some of the focus has been different. Maybe a different message, I don’t know that you point to one specific thing. But a combination of (of all those things).” On Martin Brodeur’s impact on Jake Allen’s turnaround: “I don’t know if this is a goaltending coach thing. I think one of the difference I’ve seen…almost every practice starts with Jake doing specific goaltending drills. Is that a philosophical thing with Martin Brodeur? I don’t know. I also think Jake just got his game back a little bit. Maybe Marty’s just a different voice and it’s working.”
