This is the first episode of the Reaching Out Series which is aimed at helping us reach out and extend the arms of Christ into a community that needs Jesus. People are striving for answers, and we actually have those answers. In the parable of the Prodigal Son, the Pharisees are concerned that Jesus is hanging out with tax collectors and sinners. They question Jesus as to why He is doing this, and He answers them with three parables all around the same theme. Jesus never uses the word "prodigal"- that is the heading placed in most bibles for this chapter. Pastor Sean Wood queries whether "prodigal" really applies to the Son, or does it apply to God?
