Feet Firmly Planted in Mid-Air - The Rock Christian Church Podcast

Feet Firmly Planted in Mid-Air is the title of today's message by Pastor Sean Wood. This is the first message in the Climbing the Mountain of Meaning Series from the Book of Ecclesiastes. So many people are making observations, but overlooking the obvious when looking for life's answers. The fact of the matter is, whether you sit in a church pew or you are outside church doors you are looking for answers.  Everyone is looking for answers, and the ultimate answer that everyone wants is to the question: What is the meaning and the purpose of my life? Feet Firmly Planted in Mid-Air has been chosen as the title of this Episode as it is a reflection upon the feelings of multiple generations currently living today. The words of the very well-known song written in 1965 "I can't get no Satisfaction" has become a favourite down through the decades as a result. In the eyes of the world, the writers of that song were among those who you would expect to find satisfaction in life, but they too join with the author of Ecclesiastes in their struggle to find the answer to life's most important question. There is no satisfaction outside of God. Many people say that the Book of Ecclesiastes shouldn't even be in the Bible. They say that it was written by a pessimistic madman, and is full of half-truths. But one man's pessimism is another man's realism. The writer of Ecclesiastes has dared to lift the lid on the questions mankind is asking and has been down through the decades of time. Enjoy the first episode of this series on Ecclesiastes. We pray God speaks to you as you listen and that you find the answers you are seeking Him for.
