It really is good. My only complaint is that parts three and four, which are all about the trial, it seemed like grounds we’ve already been over before.” Why is it so interesting to you? “It’s almost eight hours long. It doesn’t even feel that long. It looks at America through the lens of Simpson. We look at all sorts of issues of race. We look at how society was and how it changed and how relationships with police changed. You just feel so much smarter after you watched it.” What stood out to you that you didn’t realize or maybe you’d forgotten? “The way it was covered back in the day…it was very black and white…it was very stereotypical and even cartoonish in how the people were portrayed. This is much more nuanced about O.J.’s relationship with all those around him and what kind of person he really was and how he became that person, which was so fascinating to me.”
