Frances McCrae is the Assistant Deputy Minister of Small Business and Marketplace services at Innovation, Science and Economic development Canada (ISED). The sector collaborates with and has oversight on responsibilities for the Business Development Bank of Canada, and also administers three ISED marketplace frameworks and regulations that include Corporations Canada, Measurement Canada, and the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy — all which focus on small business competitiveness.“The most exciting part about the future is that I don't see women's economic empowerment going away.” In this week's episode, our host Komal Minhas talks to Frances about women in leadership, achieving financial independence, and role models for women.
