Rick Briand is a Gen-Xer with a diverse ethnic background. He has been married for 36 years, raising ten children and also has eight grandchildren. Tragically, he lost his daughter Angela in a car accident in 2016. Rick retired after a 36-year career as a self-employed floor-covering installer. He holds an Associate of Arts degree from Lake Michigan College (2013) and a Bachelor of Arts in Community Service from Sienna Heights University (2015). Though he planned to pursue a Juris Doctorate, circumstances changed, and he continues to study law independently, being well-versed in legal processes.
In 2014, Rick ran for Berrien County Commissioner, served as a GOP precinct delegate, and ran for Berrien County Sheriff in 2016 in the state of Michigan. He is currently running in the Republican Primary on August 6, 2024.
