Biblical Confidence to Say No (Conquer Codependency God's Way)

Let’s face it. Saying no to people is difficult - especially if you are codependent. God wired us to take on responsibility he has asked us to carry, but often codependents say yes to obligations that are not ours. And when we can’t say no We carry the emotional weight that brings anxiety We end our days feeling weary and worn out We miss out on what matters most We feel resentful instead of fulfilled But worst of all, when we can’t say no to people, we can’t say yes to God. The Bible is clear. You cannot serve two masters (Matthew 6:24). It’s impossible! In the past, I even spiritualized my yes, reasoning that living worn out was God’s will. But it wasn’t. Everything changed when I found the confidence to say no by putting God first. I could put God first and fill my cup I could live inside my limits and feel satisfied I found margin for the people in my life that mattered. I lived under the blessing of pleasing the Spirit, instead of pleasing people. Not every good work is God’s work for you.
