Polaris, at the Crossroads

Here we are at Year's End. We find ourselves at a Crossroads, of sorts. We know that changes are in the offing. This is a time for us to re-assess; to re-evaluate - and to make decisions about our lives and our futures. And so we look to The Stars. We've been hearing an awful lot about Stars recently. Three Kings are famously said to have followed one to their appointed destination. On TV, holiday-themed animated productions would typically end with a star rising above - thus giving credence to the intended lesson of the story. Polaris, the North Star has been known to be both a guide in our lives and a portal to the Otherworld. So this week, let's talk about Polaris, and the constellation Ursa Minor in their history and their myths. The Pole Star may be where God resides, but the Goddess is there, too. She can be accessed through The Tarot in the card, "The High Priestess". Hecate is up there too. But she's also down here at the Crossroads. We'll take a look at what the Crossroads has meant to humans down the ages. And finally, we'll use The Crossroads Tarot Spread to help us find answers and make decisions for the New Year.
