The High Magick of ALL Art

This week we'll talk about The Role of Art as a Magickal Act. Just like practical magick the arts have the power to forever change how we perceive our world and our place within it. Creative and Magickal people alike have all understood that there is a profound and important connection between magick and Art. Aleister Crowley is famous for acknowledging this, as are creative people today - one being the English fantasy writer, Alan Moore The Egyptian God, Heka plays an important role in the conjoining of Art and Magick. Heka may not be well known today, but in Ancient Egypt, he was regarded as the deification of magic. Also, Pagan Elder and writer Raven Grimassi has much to say about the connection between Art and Magick. He wrote an artical on the subject in 2012, and I want to share some of it with you.
