What is Trauma Feminism? with Yasmin Nair

On today’s show, guest host Karma Chávez is joined by Yasmin Nair to talk about the exploitation of trauma in feminist spaces and publishing. Yasmin’s recent Current Affairs piece dives deep in to problematic nature of forcing trauma narratives on women of color.

Yasmin Nair is a writer, activist, and academic.  She is the co-founder of the radical queer editorial collective Against Equality, and the Policy Director of the Chicago queer radical collective Gender JUST.

Her writing has appeared in The BafflerIn These Times, Vox, and Electronic Intifada.
