Luke Darnell is the head pitmaster and founder of the Old Virginia Smoke (OVS) competition BBQ team based in Bristow, Virginia.World Champion: Named the 2016 World BBQ Champion at the World Food Championships.

Chicken Specialty: Recognized as the 2017 KCBS Chicken Team of the Year and won the chicken category at the 2021 American Royal.

Extensive Wins: Has earned over 40 combined Grand Championships and Reserve Grand Championships throughout his career.

Television: Featured on the Food Network series "BBQ USA" with Michael Symon in 2022.
