Hey! Welcome back! To get ready for the Christmas season, enjoy this look back at Die Hard 2, recorded in 2021.

Hello! Our Halloween Series wraps up with Slither. It's a body-snatcher classic from 2006, and the debut from James Gunn. As a horror-comedy, this cult classic has a combo of strengths and weaknesses. Enjoy!

Welcome, everyone! Our Halloween Series goes down the home stretch with 28 Days Later! It's a zombie classic from 2003, directed by Danny Boyle and starring Cillian Murphy. We'll see how it holds up, and how Halloween appropriate it is. Enjoy!

Hey everyone! Part Four of our Halloween Series features a newish film from an acclaimed director: Benicio del Toro's Crimson Peak. This atmospheric thriller features Tom Hiddleston, Mia Wasikowski, and Jessica Chastain. It's set in Victorian England, so the visuals are absolutely incredible. As for the story and suspense, well...we have opinions. Enjoy!

Welcome! Our Halloween Series continues with Over the Garden Wall. I had never seen it, and knew nothing about it. That makes this episode a pleasant surprise. Patrick McHale's animated gem is a Halloween cult classic. It's whimsical, eccentric, and endearingly funny. Plus, it's not terribly scary--call it a soft PG. That means kids as young as 8ish could enjoy it as well. Hopefully you'll check it out before Halloween, before it goes away on Hulu!

Hey! Our Halloween Series is in full swing. For Part II, we look at a 2025 release that became a huge hit: Ryan Coogler's Sinners. It's stylized, frenetic, and lots of fun. Enjoy our review!

Hey! Our Halloween Series kicks off with a hit horror flick from the 90s--Wes Craven's Scream. This one has everything, from teen movie icons to self-deprecating satire. It's a fine line between fun and obnoxious, but Craven and writer Kevin Williamson straddle it pretty well. For our first two episodes, we'll enjoy some bold red wines. This is a bloody epic, so it just seems to fit. Enjoy!

Welcome! Our final sweaty movie is absolutely drenched. A Time to Kill is a 90s classic, and it made a superstar out of Matthew McConaughey. We have very different opinions on this one. To pair, we picked another wine designed to cool you off! Next week, it's Halloween!!

Welcome! Our Sweaty Series continues with one of the sweatiest movies ever made—Dog Day Afternoon, starring Al Pacino. The film starts normally, but as Pacino’s bank robbery turns into a lengthy standoff, the characters look absolutely miserable. Sidney Lumet’s dramedy is a landmark of the 70s, and endures as a classic to this day. To pair, we’ll enjoy a warm weather white wine. Next week: The sweatiest movie of the 90s. #Cinemavino #70s #BankRobbery #AlPacino

Hey! Our Sweaty Series continues with an all-time classic: Sidney Lumet's 12 Angry Men. It's a classic legal drama and an intense character study. Lumet's minimal approach to the material is ground-breaking. And it's one of the sweatiest movies you'll ever see. As the jury deliberates a murder trial in a room with no AC, the pit stains grow larger as the movie progresses. Next week, another film by Lumet, and it's possibly even sweatier! Enjoy! #Cinemavino #12AngryMen #Legal #50s

We're back! Our Sweaty Series kicks off with a 90s classic--Speed. This one's got it all, Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Dennis Hopper, a great premise, and goofy action beats. Now, it delivers nostalgia and sheer silliness. Enjoy!

Hey! Due to a personal matter, we'll kick off our Sweaty Series next week. In the meantime, enjoy this look back at Over the Top. It's a campy 80s classic, starring Sylvester Stallone and Robert Loggia.

Hello! This week, we'll take a look back at our episode reviewing Demolition Man, recorded three years ago this week. It's a 90s cult classic starring Sylvester Stallone and Wesley Snipes. (And a young Sandra Bullock!) We had a lot of fun with this episode. Enjoy!

Hello! Our Fantastic Four series concludes with the most recent--and best--offering: The Fantastic Four: First Steps. With this entry, Marvel's first family enters the MCU. We have an assortment of strong opinions, including whether this is a genuinely good flick, or simply the best in a bad series. Enjoy!

Hello! This week, it's chapter 3 of our Fantastic Four series! Unfortunately, the 2015 version is just awful. In fact, this is strong in the running for worst superhero movie ever. Supposedly this was strictly a business decision by 20th Century Fox, and it shows. As always, our discussion is lively! Enjoy!

Our Fantastic Four series will continue this weekend with the 2015 version, but in the meantime, enjoy this special look back at an episode from 2021. In it, we dissect the cult classic, Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. Enjoy!

Hey! Our mini-series on the Fantastic Four continues with the 2005 adaptation. This is a very different experience from the previous episode. It's bigger, but necessarily better. As you might guess, we have strong opinions. Enoy! #FantasticFour #FirstSteps #MCU #Marvel

Hello! We're two days late, but not two dollars short! This episode will commence a short run looking at the different cinematic attempts to kick off a Fantastic Four franchise. All this will lead up to the release of Fantastic Four: First Steps, this very week. To pair, we enjoy a delicious red blend of exactly four grapes!

Welcome back to Cinemavino! In honor of the release of James Gunn's Superman, we take a look back at Superman Returns. Bryan Singer's is a superhero oddity: It's part legacy sequel and part reboot, and yet does neither with great success. We have strong opinions. Enjoy!

Hey! Our Beatles Series concludes with Let It Be. For this episode, we review the Peter Jackson's remastered version from Disney+ last year. After years of rugged VHS cuts, it's great to see this in a whole new way. To pair, we enjoy a nice Bordeaux, the favorite region and style of Sir Paul McCartney!

Hello! Our Beatles Series continues with an animated classic, Yellow Submarine. It\'s a freewheeling piece of psychedelia, and a masterful swirl of pop art, where Andy Warhol meets Fantasia. Find out all sorts of Beatle trivia and behind the scenes info on this week\'s Cinemavino!

Welcome! Our Beatles Series continues with the the band\'s second feature: Help! This is one is in living color, and features a much more absurd storyline. Roger Ebert famously said the band had four seasons. This film captures them in spring. We have some strong opinions. To pair, we enjoy some lagers and limes. #Beatles #Help #Music #60s Be sure and subscribe, and check out my full reviews of every movie we cover: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/cinemavino/id1443636422 https://open...

Hello, everyone! As many of you know, this week was supposed to feature our discussion of Help! Well, I came down with strep throat, so...womp, womp. Good news--I've got the perfect thing to tide everyone over. From 2021, the boys have a lively discussion on episode 1 of Peter Jackson's massive documentary of the Beatles: Get Back. We have so much fun talking about it. I know you will, too. Next week, we'll get back on track with a Help!/Yellow Submarine double feature. #TheBeatles #GetBack #...

Hey all! It's Friday the 13th, and Jason Voorhees' birthday! In honor of the day, we've got a bonus episode of Cinemavino! For today, we screen the 1989 flick Friday the XIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. But does he? Does he take Manhattan? We have strong opinions, so tune in to this special Cinemavino! #Fridaythe13th #JasonVoorhees #horror #JasonTakesManhattan Be sure and subscribe, and check out my full reviews of every movie we cover: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/cinemavino/id1443636...
