How to Choose Childcare
Today I will give you tips on how to choose childcare. I start with a hair-raising story from when I was 16 and started working in a nursery. The point was that parents never walked through the school to see what was happening. Do that. Today, there are regulations and a website with any violations. Check that. Check their policies on vaccines and accidents. Then go see it. Look for space, toys, books, cleanliness. Check out my stories. They will give you some clue. Think about whether you need

God Wants Healing — Just Ask Peter
Yes, God wants to heal us. Including our children. Including that which has to do with learning and academics. Isaiah 53 talks about healing. Matthew 8:16 talks about Jesus healing. It is cleer Jesus cared about children, not just adults. And then Peter, direct disciple and respected apostle also talks about healing in 2Pet 2:24. Don't doubt. Just go after it. And studies in the 1990s showed that most teachers thought LD meant mentally retarded. We are not permitted to say MR today. But we say worse things. And that matters. On

Dani Johnson on Grooming the Next Generation for Success
Dani Johnson, multi-level marketing expert, talked with us back in 2009 about grooming children for success. Wow! I had no idea how that work "grooming" would play years later. However, parenting is still pretty much the same. Dani and her husband have trained many many sales people in their organization. One way they do that is by giving them "scripts" or what I call "verbatims" -- to tell people what to say. That was my favorite part of the book. She tells us as parents how to say things to ou
