We’re trying to keep these gators down with this week’s review of Crawl! Our 2019 disaster flick has it all, gators, competitive swimmers, hurricanes, gators, Billy Pepper, cute dogs, more gators, and somehow we’re able to still able talk about emu’s, Donald Trump action movies, and Irish psychopaths. Wow! This episode has it all!

Our final week of Studio Ghibli reviews goes out with a bang as we review My Neighbor Totoro, the darling tale of two isolated girls in post-war Japan who suffer from delusions of a giant cat-bunny with magical powers. I don’t have any “funny” questions for this post. It’s late. Go sleepy….Enjoy!

Our third Studio Ghibli review is flying high with Kiki’s Delivery Service, a heartwarming tale about a teenage witch who invents Amazon in the 1950s. With the voice talent of the late, great Phil Hartman, this story bums us out as much as it delights. Does Kiki deliver the goods? Can Katy Bug learn to speak into the mic? Will Nik figure out how to turn off the recorder? Listen to discover!

After a brief detour, we’re heading back to Japan with some more Studio Ghibli goodness! Princess Mononoke is our flick of the week and we’ve got to marvel at the lack of any Princess Mononoke. Is she the main character or not? How many arms can one arrow shoot off? And why is our dog Finn the worst dog ever?!? All these questions will probably not be answered in this week’s episode!

We’re taking a break from our Studio Ghibli reviews to check out the new addition to the Conjuringverse, The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It. How fares the 3rd installment to Ed and Lorraine Warren’s supernatural adventures? Was this couple doing God’s work or a total fraud? Did Katy say “unresponsible” or “irresponsible”? Only you can decide!

We’re showing love this week to our favorite animated director, Hayao Miyazaki. Sure, he’s not exactly known for his slasher films, but it’s our show and we wanted an excuse to watch Spirited Away. It was the highest-grossing film in Japan for 20 years for a reason. Why? Listen to our show to find out!

It’s our final May the 4th Movie in a Franchise and this week we’re going back, waaaaaay back 65 million years to Jurassic World! Okay, maybe you don’t consider this flick “horror”, but if you were being chased by giant, man-eating dinosaurs, I bet you would be horrified, fair? Check us out on Instagram!

We’re bone-deep into May the 4th Movie of a Franchise with Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. A first of the show, neither Katy nor Nik has seen this movie! Will it blow their minds? Is it a total dud? Do they spend the first 10 minutes praising the brilliance of Hayao Miyazaki? You must listen to find out!

Week two of our May the 4th Movie in a Franchise continues with this gem of 80s nostalgia. Katy Bug and Nik are sick as farts but that won’t stop them from offering up the goods when it comes to the finest in horror podcasting. Does Freddy finally die? Do we check in? Do we check out? All of your questions will be answered here!

Welcome to May the 4th Movie in a Franchise! All month, in honor of Star Wars, we’re going to cover the 4th flick in a franchise (obviously) and this week we’re kicking it off with Scream 4. This soft reboot has a special place in Katy Bug’s heart but jams up her dad. Wanna know why? You don’t? Who cares! Listen anyway!

This is a tough one, folks. We…we just don’t know what to say about The Witches. Just know that Katy From The Crypt loves you very much. The fact that we watched this so you didn’t have to is testament enough.

We’re serving up bite-sized bits of terror for you and you’re little ones. SHORTS! We love these free, spine-tingling nuggets and review some of our favorite horror shorts from the world of YouTube and Arrow. This week we’re talking about iced coffee and positive vibes! And somewhere we also fit in a review of The Turning. Nik gives it a “meh” and Katy Bug gives it a “yeah”. Is it good? Is it not? YOU decide!

Pull up a chair and join us for our 51 episode celebration! We’re talking about making horror flicks, watching horror flicks, and reviewing horror flicks. We run down a list of our favorite reviews and hated reviews. Katy Bug tells us what she looks for in good horror. If you’re new to the show or been with us since the start, episode 51 gives you insight into what we do and why.

Don’t fall asleep! This week we’re having A Nightmare On Elm Street. Does this classic 80’s slasher flick deliver the goods? How many hairs can Katy Bug pull out of her mouth? Can Nik read his own handwriting? NOTE: when writing notes for a podcast, always make sure you can actually read your notes!

Won’t somebody think of the children!? In this episode, we do. We’re looking at kid’s books by Michael Rex and Adam Rex (no relation?). Enjoy the gore-free thrills of Goodnight Good, The Runaway Mummy, and Frankenstein Makes A Sandwich.

Grab your umbrella because we’re reviewing Fear of Rain. Does this thriller about mental illness deliver the goods or exploit a serious condition? Does Katy Bug know who Harrison Ford is? Does the cat ever stop biting my knee? All of these questions are answered in this week’s episode! And we promise to never record audio outside again.

We’ve risen from the dead! Katy Bug and Nik are back and this time they’re talking about the Shudder exclusive, Host. The movie was so scary that Nik never even saw the monster, he was too busy hiding his face. Katy Bug gives it an 8 out of 10 stuffed horses.

Hi, folks! Uh, this is our last episode. SURPRISE! Yup, we’re taking a break. Maybe we’ll come back, maybe we won’t, but like any good horror franchise, we never die. Nik is flying solo on this episode, discussing how the end came, why, and what the future may hold.

This week we’re going back to school to watch an outstanding student film, Weird Fiction! Listen as Katy Bug mumbles for a while because she’s “over tired”. Be amazed at my end-of-show rant about girls not allowing other girls to be funny!

Dear, sweet Jesus. We have to review another Insidious film. We don’t really know what to say, this flick is a bore. We’re bored talking about it. We’re bored writing this description about it. If that doesn’t make you want to listen to our show,

This week we’re having some fun with the light-hearted murderfest, Happy Death Day! Join us as we talk about this Groundhog’s Day meets Scream flick and what life would be like living the same day over and over again!

shhhhhh…be very, very quiet. this week we’re talking about A Quiet Place. it’s a very, very quiet film so don’t listen too loudly. keep the volume at a reasonable level. don’t laugh too loudly. don’t get caught. for god’s sake,

This week we’re dipping our toe into the Insidious franchise. With another James Wan flick under our belt, Colby decided to sit in so all three of us could talk about how boring this movie is. Actually, we talk about The Twilight Zone, cooking,
