Jesus modeled the power of speaking the Word during His public ministry. Sometimes, as He ministered, the Bible says His Word was with power. He spoke to the winds, and they obeyed Him. He spoke to demons, and they obeyed Him. He spoke to sickness, and it obeyed Him.
Jesus taught His disciples to believe in the power of speaking the Word. He said if they speak to a mountain, telling it to be removed and doubt not, it would be done (Mark 11:23). It may sound somewhat radical, but we also have that authority to speak the Word of God to the “mountains” in our life with faith and believe that things will change as a result of doing that.
