The 26th April marks 30 years since the world’s biggest nuclear catastrophe – the explosion at the Chernobyl power plant. In the last three decades, hundreds of thousands of people have suffered illnesses caused by radiation.Ireland’s Adi Roche founded Chernobyl Children International in 1991, to deliver medical and humanitarian aid to Belarus, western Russia and Ukraine.
