Sponsored Walk Unites Catholic Church with Church of Ireland Parishes

A heartwarming story and one that we love here in Spirit Radio. It’s a story of true community, friendship and discipleship as it should be. When the roof of the local Church of Ireland church building in a small rural community fell into a bad state of repair, 2 parishioners decided they could help out by going on a sponsored walk, for 280km……. all the way from Rostrevor , County Down to the top of Croagh Patrick, County Mayo! What makes the story somewhat unusual is that the parishioners in question are not from the Church of Ireland congregation but they are Christian neighbours from the neighbouring Catholic community and on the line this morning I have Eamonn O’Connor who together with Mickey McKevitt is one of the two doing the walk.
