Don Mullan: Christmas Truce Concerts dedicated to Nelson Mandela

Irish bestselling author (Eyewitness Bloody Sunday) humanitarian and media producer, Don Mullan talks to Bernie about the Christmas Truce Concerts in Dublin and Derry this weekend, in commemoration of Christmas 1914 in Flanders, when the battlefield of WW1 was momentarily abandoned, in recognition of a shared common brotherhood, as the soldiers from both sides tentatively walked across No Mans Land to embrace one another to the strains of Silent Night.

He also speaks about his work with Archbishop Desmond Tutu, attending Nelson Mandela’s inauguration (and now his funeral) and the legacy that this incredible universal icon has bequeathed to South Africa and the world.
