Dementia is a very significant health problem.. Approximately 4,000 new cases of dementia arise in Ireland every year.
Ryan O’Neil is someone who has experienced first-hand the difficulties and trials that dementia can bring to a family. Ryan’s own Dad,… developed a rare form of dementia at the very early age of 48. The family rallied around to support their Dad through some very difficult years.
This particular form of dementia is gene related.. For many years Ryan lived with uncertainty about the future.. He wondered if he too had the gene — and whether dementia would also overtake him.
