Israel has worked hard in recent decades to keep the memory of these millions of Jews killed by Hitler alive and strong; the tourism ministry having launched its commemoration project in 1953 with the task of perpetuating the memory of Holocaust victims and documenting the history of the Jewish people during the Holocaust so that it will be remembered by future generations through memorials and museums.

Dr. Susannah Kókkon Director of Christian Friends of Yad Vashem joined Rojo in studio to talk about this hugely significant period in history.
