All eyes will turn towards Kilkenny over the next while as the city gears up to host once again Ireland’s oldest multi-disciplinary arts festival which brings over 25,000 visitors from Ireland and abroad into Kilkenny City for a feast of the very best in Irish and international acts.
For the past 40 years the not-for-profit festival has boasted a heaving programme of theatre, visual art, dance, craft, children’s entertainment, street theatre, classical music, world music, indie music and literature with this year being no exception.
Artistic Director Eugene Downes spoke to Wendy about what’s in store for this years festival
