First elected to Dáil Éireann representing the Dublin South constituency in 2002, Eamon Ryan served as a TD until 2011.
Prior to his appointment as Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources in 2007, he was the Green Party spokesperson for Transport and Enterprise, Trade and Employment and opposition convenor on the Joint Oireachtas Committee for Communication, Marine and Natural Resources.
Currently the Leader of the Green Party, Eamon and his party recently called for a referendum on the public ownership of Irish Water.
