Ireland’s first blind solicitor - Sinéad Kane

When Sinéad Kane was four years old, she got a static shock from the TV set because she was pressing her nose up against the screen to see the pictures. Her mother used this moment to explain to her, in words she could understand, that she was different.

In 2009 Sinéad qualified as Ireland’s first registered blind solicitor. She is also a mediator, motivational speaker, columnist and writer for the Irish Criminal Law Journal. In October 2014 she became the first blind woman to run in the Dublin Marathon.

Sinéad chats with Wendy Grace about her life, faith and family, overcoming challenges and setting goals.
