Alan Bailey - ‘Missing, Presumed’

Between 1993 and 1998, six Irish women, ranging in age from 18 to 28, disappeared. The area in which these disappearances occurred became publicly referred to as ‘The Vanishing Triangle’. To date, none of these women have been located. These six unsolved cases resulted in the creation of a specialist Garda task force called ‘Operation Trace’.

Ex-Garda Detective Sergeant Alan Bailey served as National Coordinator for this task force for 13 years, and his perspective on these harrowing cases is recorded in a new book entitled Missing, Presumed.

Alan joined Wendy in the studio to talk about the book and his role in Operation Trace.
