On 3rd February 2015, Members of Parliament in the UK House of Commons voted in favour of amending the existing ‘Human Fertilisation and Embryology Act’ to allow for the creation of babies with DNA from two women and one man. It is hoped that this technique will stop genetic diseases from being passed from the mother to the child.
