Eurozone Bailout of Greece - Susan Philips

On Tuesday 24th February, a temporary resolution was reached between the new Greek government and its international creditors as the reform plan proposed by the Greek government in exchange for a four-month extension of its loan programme was backed by the ‘troika’.

Political commentator Susan Philips joined Wendy on the line to give her explanation of the current situation, taking us from the Greek government deficit of May 2010 to the rise and recent election of the anti-austerity Syriza party, and explaining where Greece stands now in its relations with the European nations and institutions.
