Episode 46 | Today, you’re going to hear from Khadijah Ameen and Paulah Wheeler, two of the four founders of BLKHLTH. BLKHLTH is an Atlanta-based nonprofit that aims to critically engage and challenge racism and its impact on health. They provide workshops, training, community events, and digital media that address the pathways through which systemic racism leads to poorer health outcomes for Black people. Khadijah and Paulah are graduates of Emory University's Rollins School of Public Health. They work on all things BLKHLTH in addition to working full-time for various public health organizations that focus on HIV/AIDS, global health, and health systems strengthening.
