In this message, Tom and Susan explore the relationship of the baptism of the Holy Spirit to God’s plan to reach the world with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The story of the book of Acts can be summarized as Jesus went up, the Holy Ghost came down, and the Church went out. Watch or listen t...

When the prophet Isaiah was grieved by the enemies facing his nation, he cried out to God, “‭Oh‭ that thou wouldest rend‭‭ the heavens‭, that thou wouldest come down‭‭, that the mountains‭ might flow down‭‭ at thy presence‭…”(Isaiah 64:1, AV) Isaiah knew that there are some things that can only change by the manifestation of God’s presence. He had experienced that presence himself and been transformed, and he knew that God could do the same for the world around him. When God’s presence comes d...

Photo by NASA. ‭Ah‭ Lord‭ GOD‭! behold, thou hast made‭‭ the heaven‭ and the earth‭ by thy great‭ power‭ and stretched out‭‭ arm‭, ‭and‭ there is nothing‭ too hard‭‭ for thee:‭ (Jeremiah 32:17, AV) Scientists tell us that the universe is at least 97 million light years across, and God set the entire thing up like we would set up a pup tent. If He can do that, certainly nothing is impossible with Him. In this audio message, we look at the great miracles of the Bible as well as the miracles of to...

Tom preaching at the Holy Life Tabernacle Pastors Conference, Brookings, South Dakota. All of us need mercy … including preachers. Mercy is required because we all have missed God, failed, fallen, and broken His commandments. When we recognize our failure, we can easily become discouraged. We may think: I’ll never be good enough. I’ll never measure up. We look at our failures and wonder, “How can God ever use me?” But what we don’t realize is that it’s not about us, it’s about God’s grace and...

‭ For the gospel was preached to us as well as to them. But the word preached did not benefit them, because it was not mixed with faith in those who heard it.‭ (Hebrews 4:1b-2, MEV) God has given us wonderful benefits of the Gospel—forgiveness, righteousness, healing, peace, and victory. But in order for it to be activated in our life, we must believe it. God has done His part. Now we must do ours. It’s time to believe and activated the benefits of the Gospel in our lives. Be encouraged and fin...

Click to watch. Is Jesus the only way to God? We often hear that there are many paths to God. But are there? What does the Bible say? Jesus said, ‭“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.‭” (John 14:6, MEV) Jesus is unique of all spiritual leaders, because he was God in the flesh, He died for our sins, and He ever lives to be our Savior. No matter what religious background you have come from or what you have done, Father God loves you and sent His So...

Click to view And‭ with great‭ power‭ gave‭‭ the apostles‭ witness‭ of the resurrection‭ of the Lord‭ Jesus‭: and‭ great‭ grace‭ was‭‭ upon‭ them‭ all‭.‭ (Acts 4:33, AV) Just as the early church gave a powerful witness through signs, wonders, and miracles, we continue to see miracles today. God raised Jesus from the dead and He has given His believers in Jesus the power of the resurrection to demonstrate that Jesus is alive. I want to encourage you to expect a miracle today, because Jesus is al...

This video is a follow-up to an article I recently wrote on “The Precious Blood of Christ.” This video goes deeper into the question of why the blood of Christ is precious. The blood of Jesus is precious to me because of my experience with the Lord. When I surrendered to Him in 1977, He spoke these words, “Precious is the blood of the Lamb, which was shed for you.” The blood of Jesus changed my life, and for that reason it is precious, valuable, and honored in my life. The Scripture has much t...

Minneopa State Park, Mankato, Minnesota. And when they came‭‭ to Marah‭, they could‭‭ not drink‭‭ of the waters‭ of Marah‭, for they [were] bitter‭: therefore the name‭ of it was called‭‭ Marah‭.‭ ‭And the people‭ murmured‭‭ against Moses‭, saying‭‭, What shall we drink‭‭?‭ (Exodus 15:23-24, AV) Just as Israel faced the bitter waters of Marah, we also face bitter waters in the circumstances of life. Hard things—such as broken relationships, betrayal, sickness, loss of a loved one, financial dif...
