TC 210: Money as Energy - Crowdfunding with Aggie Kobrin

We’re pleased to welcome back event planning and crowdfunding expert Aggie Kobrin. Aggie has built several successful event planning and media distribution companies including CrowdfundingLive, CEC Global Events, and others.

In this lively conversation, Aggie brings Robin, Gloria, and Jamie up to date on what she’s been up to, including organizing the International Space Development Conference which featured luminaries Elon Musk (founder of Tesla and SpaceX), and astronaut Buzz Aldrin.

Aggie says the crowdfunding premise is simple. If you have an idea, you ask for a little bit of seed money from a lot of people to fund it, kind of like a political campaign. People may not be willing to invest large sums of money in a new idea, but they may invest $25 or $50 dollars if they think your idea or product has merit.

Why are people reluctant to ask for money? Is crowdfunding easy, or does it take a lot of effort? Does Elon Musk mumble when he talks?
