The season of the Sasha Colby meet and greet ended, appropriately enough, with a Sasha Colby crown and scepter. And maybe we should have seen that coming since Kerri Colby uttered her name at the beginning of last season. It certainly felt obvious in the finale, as Anetra, Luxx and Mistress delivered good warm up act performances of Leland songs before Sasha gave us G-O-D-D-E-S—you know the rest. Meanwhile we got a not in memorium of Bob Mackie, a sway-along to a Wigloose number (particularly S...

Ru brings back her girls for a supersized reunion. Well, more like a Mistress Isabelle Brooks meet and greet with guest host Luxx, cameos from Anetra and Sasha (GOLBY), Poppy’s homage to entrance jeans, Loosey determined to show us how loose she can let, Kevin Bacon’s VHS collection, the pizza queen adjacency of the Golden Boot, moments of garbled insight from Spice, a non-response response to nogueing and finally, a moment of recognition for “It’s not funny.” More importantly, we have merch! h...

The final four are headed to space this week courtesy of the RuZQ to add their two cents in eight bars to RuPaul’s “Blame It on the Edit.” But first, we debate whether it's Anetra or Sasha getting the winner’s edit based on the narratives of these Tic Tac lunches and Blame it on the Amazon for having to sit through so many mop commercials. The girls are out of small talk in the workroom, giving us time to also talk about our love for Roxxxy Andrews in “Read U Wrote U,” Tyra’s run on Season 2, K...

Trailblazing Portland drag legend Darcelle XV passed away on March 23rd at the age of 92 after a Guinness World Record making career in drag. We were beyond fortunate to interview Darcelle (aka Walter Cole) back in 2019, along with Anthony Hudson aka Carla Rossi (and co-host of Gaylords of Darkness podcast), as part of the Listen Up Podcast festival. In memory of Darcelle, we're sharing our conversation with her here, discussing how she got started in the true Wild West of drag, the power the ar...

Our Teachers of Drag Race fantasy comes true with this week’s makeover challenge. We could talk all day about Sasha Colby in a parent teacher conference with America’s next Tamisha Iman, to say nothing of Intro to Art queen Miss Tang and Mistress cutting up after class. But who we have the most to talk about this episode is actually Loosey, including everything we didn’t see in the show. (Shoutout to the Roscoe’s Viewing Party!) Plus: a formative memory about Mrs. Beck, an addition to the famil...

Art imitates life this week as the Top 6 mounts this season's polished and prophetic Rusical "Wigloose"! We have much to say about the unfortunate inspiration for the challenge but we also have a lot of love for Salina EsTitties, even if we can't agree on those gloves. We get some mini therapy sessions with workroom Ru while Loosey's breaking point proves to be less entertaining than Mistress thinks and morphs into one of the more unfortunate edits of the series. Everyone shines in the performan...

It was really seven queens and about three good jokes in this week’s standup comedy challenge, but let’s be honest, the real star of the episode is that lip sync. We also get Sasha Colby (Taaaassha Gooollllby) quoting an Emmy winning icon, No More Mrs. Nice EsTitties having a mirror micromoment with Mistress, the pure rush of endorphins that was that mini challenge (unless of course you’re Aja), and Luxx and Ru having a volley on the runway that made us want to smear our lipstick (while doing th...

It’s a lesson in active listening this week as the queens channel their inner Barbara Walters (or, Hugh Downs in a wig) for the C-List celebrity chat show 50/50 (or 33/33/33 in some cases). Love Connie drives away with our hearts, and Luxx more than keeps up. Frankie Grande and Loosey just can’t stop quoting “Aliens,” Mistress misses her first beat all season, and Sasha tosses both her cards and Charo’s salad. A night of 1,000 Beyonces is 7 great looks and Marcia but this recurring theme is just...

It’s not just any old ball this week, it’s the Reference Ball! Or, no, the Crystal Ball. Either way it’s the 200th episode of Drag Race! If you like queens quoting queens, you and Luxx are in for a treat this week, as the mini-challenge, the producer prompted workroom banter and two of the runways are inspired by balls, gags and the most iconic bodysuit in Drag Race herstory. Mistress shines in her congenial era, Loosey’s all wound up, Salina is a good bro in the workroom, Ru gives us a prance a...

It was a big week for Bruno! He got to call the balls (silently of course) for this week’s lip sync smackdown AND sit at the judges’ table! But more importantly, we got wall to wall lip syncs for 34 minutes, including some that just tore the roof off the house. Selina transformed Celine, Marcia put on more makeup (and won her lip sync!), Mistress didn't miss a beat, Spice did about as well as you would expect, and we were gifted with Anetra vs Sasha Colby (Sasha Coooooolllby). Speaking of Anetra...

This week’s acting challenge took a huge swing into absurdist territory and many fans said, “It’s not funny.” We found a lot to love, including the Too Many Queens opening credits, Sasha’s eye acting, that Latrice laugh and the mere idea of a surprise Danny Trejo. Malaysia and Mistress stole the show in both the challenge and the episode, and gave us lots to discuss about evoking the Bully Card and making adult decisions in a playground fight. Plus: Loosey’s Lips, a little EsTitties moment, Spic...

The Season 15 speed run continues with golden oldie girl groups this week. Metalgate almost turns the workroom into a mosh pit but we also get Mistress’s old school charm and Sasha Justice Corner. We give Robin more airtime than the show did, identify deeply with Malaysia, discuss campy Drag Race narratives, and have an impromptu PSA about a very important topic: stretching. Also: big bingo updates at the end of the show! Season 15 Bingo Board! Want even more Alright Mary? Become a Matreon at ...

Home is where the runway is, or something like that, as the queens break into teams for a sort of unconventional materials design challenge inspired by the judges panel's homes! It's double the Snatch Game in half the time this week! On the upside, we got less time with the performances that bombed, but on the downside, we didn't get more of Tim Gunn, Rosie O'Donnell or Joan Rivers--or just about any of Sasha Colby. The runway was a bit of a Dragula crossover but the main event was the conclusion of this season's Act One headliners, The Twins, with a choreographed swan song of a lip sync that sent Sugar back to TikTok. Season 15 Bingo Board! Want even more Alright Mar...

Heaven's a place on earth this week as 15 queens try to sell us on their version of the afterlife. To be honest, most of them needed a bit of divine intervention, though we can agree that God is good, either as a Dolly or a Colby. With just 43 minutes on the clock, we don't get a mini challenge, judges' deliberations or Aura Mayari this episode, but we do get a heavy metal runway, two little white girls lip syncing to Diana Ross and the end of Princess Poppy's brief reign. Want even more Alrigh...

Nuance, the Alright Mary aftershow, is back for another season! We're kicking this week off on the main feed, but will be Patreon only after this! We get our feelings out this week on "The Real Friends of WeHo" and why we might still watch it, and reminisce again about the bizarrely fascinating social experiment gone wrong, Vanjie's 24 Hours of Love. We also take a walk down memory runway of some classic seasons of "Project Runway" so get ready to hear some thoughts on Angela Keslar and her poo...

It's been a long two weeks, but we finally have a new season of Drag Race! Season 15 has a record 16 contestants and is shaping up to be TikTok Queens vs. IRL Queens. And then of course, there's SASHA COLBY! This episode may stick to some familiar mini challenges and the tried and true talent show, but there's a slick MTV finish on it all, to say nothing of this charismatic pack of competitors, that has us excited. (Even if most of them lip synced to their own hype track.) And while it took no l...

Peter's return to Neverland in Steven Spielberg's "Hook" takes us on a number of tangents and deep dives and rabbit holes, because Mary..."Hook" is so gay. From Peter Pan Syndrome to the chosen family of Lost Boys to the high diva performance of Dustin Hoffman, we have much to discuss this week. To say nothing of the dreamy Bob Hoskins, Rufio the mean gay, Tinkerbell the fairy chaser, Maggie Smith doing that old lady thing, some requisite daddy issues, and what it means for gay men to go to Neve...

This season came in like a lion and went out like a mysterious budget cut with a final floorshow that was unfortunately overshadowed by a picture at the final moments that spoke a thousand words. Or actually, spoke no words, because we have no idea why the season ended on a Jpeg and a tour promo. Regardless, congratulations to Victoria Elizabeth Black for the more than deserved title of Titan! Want even more Alright Mary? Icons celebrate icons this week as the top 5 Titans bring their horror idols to life for the semifinal floorshow. To no one's surprise, Victoria takes us to Universal Studios but Hoso climbed out of that TV and under our skin. Koco serves Boulet Stepbrother, Evah's spaceship doesn't quite land and Astrud's hunt for a win this season leaves her neon Predator empty handed. While the Top 3 may have been no huge surprise, our bigger question is whether or not the other queens actually get to go on t...

This week the monsters get their deepest and bluest for a sea monster floorshow. Evah’s tendency towards the dramatic works in her favor this week, but Melissa Be Over It and raises hell in the cauldron before melting down in the hallway. We cover everything from LL Cool J to Eileen Davidson this episode, so dive in and leave it all on the stage, babies. Want even more Alright Mary? The Love Triangle of Terror has been disbanded but the tension looms in the boudoir, so it's the perfect week for the Top 6 to be wrestling each other. (Even if it is all highly choreographed thanks to Best Supporting Emmy.) We're of course coo-coo for Koco's puffs this week, as well as Vicky's resemblance to a certain Oscar winning actress. Evah gives us some intense orgy ensemble acting, Melissa Be Nuanced in the confessional, guest judge Katya goes hog on Astrud's shoes and the bottom two kno...
